S5600 L3Lite series switchs specifications
Details
Overview
The S5600-Series switchesare Gigabit Ethernet access switches with twenty-four 1G downlink ports and two 10G uplink and two 10G stack link ports. The switchesare ideal for Internet Service Providers (ISPs) and Multiple System Operators (MSOs) to provide home users with triple-play services with up to Gigabit bandwidth. It is also an ideal Gigabit access switch for SMB, enterprise, and campus networks. The S5600-Series switchesare packed with features that bring high availability, comprehensive security, robust multicast control, and advance QoS to the network edge, while maintaining simple management.
Key Features
Performance and Scalability The S5600-Series switchesare high-performance Gigabit Ethernet L2+/L3 Lite managed switch with 128Gbps/176Gbps switching capacity. The switch delivers wire-speed switching performance on all Gigabit ports, taking full advantage of existing high-performance Gigabit CPEs, PCs,11n/ac Wi-Fi Applications etc, significantlyimproving the responsiveness of applications and file transfer times. The 2 built-in 10G SFP+ ports provide uplink flexibility, allowing the insertion of fiber or copper, Gigabit or 10Gtransceivers, to create up to 10 Gbps high-speed uplinks and stack links to servers orservice provider, corporate, or campus networks, reducing bottlenecks and increasing the performance of theaccessnetwork.
Reliability and Energy Efficiency The fanless design of S5600-28TS ensures noiselessoperation and increases the reliability of the system. The design of the S5600-Series switches incorporate high energyefficiency in order to reduce the impact on theenvironment. The Green Ethernet power-saving features and fanless designsignificantly reduce the power consumption. The switch offers the following hardware high availability features: 1+1 power module redundancy Supports multiple AC and DC power module options. Automatically monitors power module and fan tray status, and generates alarms when a power or temperature event occurs. Adjusts fan speed based on the change in temperature.(For the switches with fans) |
Robust Multicast Control IGMP snooping prevents the flooding of multicast traffic bydynamically configuring switch ports so that multicast traffic isforwarded to only those ports associated with an IP multicastreceiver. IGMP increases the performance of networks by reducingmulticast traffic flooding.
Superior Management An industry-standard command-line interface (CLI),
accessedthrough the console port or Telnet, provides a familiar user interface An embedded user-friendly web interface helps users to quickly andsimply configure switches.
Continuous Availability The IEEE 802.1w Rapid Spanning Tree Protocol provides aloop-free network and redundant links to the core network withrapid convergence, to ensure faster recovery from failed links, enhancing overall network stability and reliability. The IEEE 802.1s Multiple Spanning Tree Protocol runs STP perVLAN base, providing Layer 2 load sharing on redundant linksup to 64 instances. |
